The University of Pittsburgh chapter of American Mock World Health Organization is excited to announce our regional fall summit this year, titled "From Farm to Pharmacy: Ensuring Safe and Equitable Global Access to Food, Drugs, and Medical Resources." This two-day model-WHO simulation will be hosted at David Lawrence Hall (3942 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh PA) on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday, October 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Undergraduate and graduate students from across the region are invited to represent a nation or organization, discuss global public health policy with other delegates, hear from esteemed guest speakers, and develop solutions to the world's most pressing public health issues. This year, delegates will address expanding access to safe and nutritious food, vaccines and medication, and blood supplies. Join us to expand your knowledge of global health problems and solutions, develop your policy skills, and have a great time!
No previous experience is needed to attend. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided. There is a $10 registration fee (for Pitt students) and $15 fee (for non-Pitt students), payable by cash or Venmo, and waivers are available upon request. Financial barriers should not keep any student from participating.
