About Us

The purpose of this organization is to support the work of the Boost Girls in Care Foundation. Boost Girls in Care is a non-profit organization providing new bras to those in need. BGIC @ Pitt's mission is the same as the foundation's, to touch the lives of people in care within foster homes, detention centers, residential facilities, or people experiencing homelessness to provide them with physical support while they are receiving emotional care. Boost Girls in Care supports and affirms all youth, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression (BGIC Mission, 2023). Our group will work to fulfill these goals and become an efficiently functioning resource for individuals in the community in need of a new bra but who may not be able to afford the financial burden.
