About Us
The PhDSO is dedicated to supporting PhD students and enhancing their experience at the Katz Graduate School of Business. Our mission is threefold: Advocate and Connect: Serve as a bridge between PhD students, faculty, and administration, fostering open communication and collaboration. Build Community: Create opportunities for students to connect, celebrate achievements, and build a strong, supportive community. Enrich Student Life: Provide outlets for organizing meaningful events both on and off campus. Through an elected leadership, the PhDSO represents the interests of all PhD students at Katz, providing a platform for addressing student concerns and bringing them to the attention of faculty, administration, alumni, and the Graduate and Professional Student Government of the University of Pittsburgh.
