Throughout university communities, faculty, staff and students utilize community engagement practices to enhance student understanding of democracy and civic participation. These initiatives help our students (and thus our colleges and universities) positively contribute to the greater good of our society through the student experience. In this session, the presenter will share a framework centered on critical community engagement and place-based learning which allow staff to facilitate these approaches intentionally and effectively.
