About Us
The purpose and/or mission of this organization is to assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education to provide for the highest quality of health care; provide programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students; and to aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life. The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Student Nurses Organization promotes and encourages participation in the affairs of the community and activities towards improved health care; represents nursing students to the consumer, to institutions and other organizations; promotes and encourages participation in student activities and educational opportunities regardless of a person's race, color, creed, sex, national origin, economic status, age or lifestyle, and; promotes and encourages collaborative relationships within nursing, as well as related organizations. The SNO provides programs representative of the fundamental and current nursing professional interests and concerns, and aids in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for the health care of people, in all walks of life.
