About Us

The mission of the Student Veterans of Pittsburgh is to provide a community and resource network for our growing population of over 500 veterans and veteran dependent students. We aim to foster continued interest in higher education and advocate on behalf of our students to university staff, faculty and students. It is understood that education is a powerful tool for many veterans to transition to civilian careers; we seek to maximize the opportunities for veterans to succeed on campus and beyond. The Student Veteran Association at the University of Pittsburgh. Student Veterans of Pittsburgh is a certified chapter of Student Veterans of America, the umbrella 501(c)(3).
