About Us

The purpose and/or mission of this organization is developed in the recognition of the need for a conscious voice for underrepresented students. The Black Student Union is dedicated to promoting student development through diversity, academics, and social services. It is our vision that all the needs of the students in our organization are met. We hope that our students experience high rates of institutional satisfaction, graduation rates equal to or greater than institutional expectations higher than expected retention and graduation rates and show evidence of high quality personal and academic achievement. The Black Student Union recognizes the need for unity within the African American community and vow to achieve that by always encouraging our members to become strong, educated leaders who reinforce a healthy collective body and to better the quality of life of all students.
