About Us
The purpose of this organization is to increase awareness of Crohn’s Disease by providing education and resources for individuals affected and their families such as information on treatment options, coping strategies, and support services. Our organization also plans to create a supportive community for individuals with Crohn's disease—utilizing online resources and various social media platforms—and to advocate for increased awareness and funding for Crohn's disease research, with a focus on developing a better community and ultimately better treatments. Through these goals and objectives, Crohn's Care Alliance at the University of Pittsburgh aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with Crohn's disease on campus. With a club that raises awareness for this disease, students affected by Crohn’s would be able to connect with a supportive community on campus, share their experiences, and advocate for greater understanding and support within the University of Pittsburgh and beyond. Crohn’s Care Alliance plans to help build a brighter future for all those affected by this challenging condition.
