Mission The purpose of this organization is to serve the greater student body of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, by ensuring student organization compliance with School of Dental Medicine policies regarding conflicts of interest and ethical behavior. The Student Executive Council for the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine will review student organizations’ requests to host and organize activities, to include continuing education opportunities, student life activities, and service projects, whenever such an activity would involve a financial component. This financial component shall be defined as any income or expense incurred by a ‘student organization.’ The Dental Student Executive Council will also be responsible for dispersing any non-earmarked funds to student organizations. If requested by the greater student body, or its representatives, the Dental Student Executive Council may host and organize activities for the students of the School of Dental Medicine at large.
