Mission The Incarcerated Persons Legal Support Project (IPLSP) is an action-oriented group that advocates for prisoners' rights and dramatic criminal justice reform. IPLSP works directly with incarcerated individuals by providing legal resources to pro se litigants who have experienced civil rights violations. Additionally, IPLSP works with community organizations to lobby for legislative change and educate the masses on social justice issues currently faced in our Prison Nation. IPLSP recognizes the many intersections that prison litigation and prisoners’ rights entails, such as racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, religious freedom, education rights, parental rights, labor rights, and wealth inequality. IPLSP does not subscribe to the notion that the incarcerated are voiceless. We aim to use our privileges to elevate the voices of incarcerated individuals, and those most at risk of facing incarceration, by ensuring that the voices of the systematically created underclass are heard.
