About Us

This organization aims to provide students with resources to introduce, develop, and utilize new skills in a real engineering context via design and manufacturing of various electric vehicles. This organization will give a hands-on introduction to students over a broad range of engineering and business topics. These topics include electric transmission & propulsion, high-voltage accumulator design, naval architecture & engineering, mechanical design & prototyping, innovation methodologies, financial management, marketing, fundraising, and business ethics/principles utilized in industry today. Pittsburgh Electric Propulsion hopes that the skills acquired through participation in this organization will result in our members being exceptional job candidates for industry in a broad range of fields, not limited to electric vehicles.
