About Us

The University of Pittsburgh Pre-Physician Assistant Association is dedicated to fostering awareness, understanding, and preparedness for the Physician Assistant profession among students exploring this career path. We aim to create a supportive community where aspiring PAs can learn about the profession’s scope of practice, evolving role in healthcare, and pathways to becoming a competitive applicant. Through educational events, workshops, guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, and peer networking, we provide members with the resources and guidance needed to confidently navigate their pre-PA journey. Whether students are just discovering the PA profession or actively preparing their applications, our organization strives to promote professional development, community engagement, and a deeper appreciation for the collaborative, patient-centered values at the heart of PA practice.
