Panther Racing is the University of Pittsburgh’s Formula SAE team, where we provide members an opportunity to gain real-world engineering and business/operations experience through the processes of designing, fabricating, testing, and competing with an open-wheel formula-style race car. This includes supporting research that benefits the education of current members and strengthens the team’s ability to support the education of future members.
Joining Panther Racing provides students with comprehensive professional development opportunities across a wide range of disciplines. Members gain hands-on experience in design, manufacturing and problem-solving, as well as in business development, finances, and project management. Our team environment fosters collaboration, leadership, and teamwork while also offering direct exposure to industry professionals and corporate partners. Regardless of experience level or involvement, Panther Racing enables all members to build strong networks and valuable résume experiences for any career path.
