Join us outside of the William Pitt Union in the Gallagher Plaza for the PittServes Volunteer Fair! Attendees will be able to stop at the various Greater Pittsburgh Area community nonprofit organization resource tables and can learn more about volunteer activities and partnership opportunities. Come learn how you can make a difference in the local community! 

Grow Democracy with PittVotes and the SOOS by potting your own plant and making sure you're ready to vote in the upcoming election! Free to all undergraduate and graduate students.

Join the Office of PittServes for an Alternative Service Break (ASB) drop-in launch information session in WPU room 630! Meet ASB staff, learn about upcoming service trips and ways to get involved, and enjoy some free lunch!

The time is now for students to feel empowered to act and make a difference. Pitt students and alumni will share advice and tips for students interested in creating change through politics, community engagement, and public service. Current students will also learn about internship and fellowship opportunities through the Institute of Politics & the Elsie Hillman Civic Forum to ignite their civic engagement.

The Center for African Studies (CAS) will host an interactive panel featuring students and faculty who will share how study abroad, internships, language learning, K–12 outreach, and other CAS experiences connect global learning with civic and community engagement. The program will also feature a Yoruba cultural demonstration by FLTA Victor Olufemi Kolawole and highlight opportunities to get involved through the African Studies certificate, internships, volunteering, High School MAU, College MAU Club, and other CAS programs.

Volunteers will be competing in the Garbage Olympics to clean up trash across the City of Pittsburgh. Pitt has joined the challenge and registered for four neighborhood teams: North Oakland, South Oakland, Central Oakland, and West Oakland. Pitt students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are welcome and encouraged to help us beautify the neighborhood and show our Oakland pride!
