Healthcare & Sustainability Discussion

Are you preparing to become a healthcare professional? Do you care about the environment and its inextricable links with the health sciences? Public Health is at the core of many environmental issues today, and the increasing carbon impact of healthcare climbs each year. These problems require comprehensive healthcare solutions.

In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh Office of Sustainability in the Health Sciences, the Student Office of Sustainability (SOOS) is excited to invite you to "Healthcare & Sustainability Panel Discussion,” an active-participation event where healthcare professional speakers will address the current state of sustainability within the health sciences! As we face climate change, the biggest threat to global health of the 21st century, health care professionals across the world are developing sustainable practices. We will be specifically discussing sustainable materials production, the role of AI, the importance of public health efforts, and the future of decarbonization. If you’d like to learn more about these solutions and engage in meaningful conversations with qualified professionals, this is the event for you!
