About Us
The Pre-Surgical Society promotes surgically-related student engagement and education at the University of Pittsburgh by hosting monthly suture clinics with the use of Alcedo Suture Kits, prosthetics, and/or everyday items that mirror a true surgical experience (e.g. grapes, chicken breasts, bananas, etc.). Further, this organization invites students and faculty affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for guest-speaking/Q&A sessions for all members to participate in. Students will be able to receive information regarding volunteering and research opportunities across the Pittsburgh campus. The Pre-Surgical Society will foster a fun, interactive learning environment where like-minded individuals can grow through hands-on experiences with deep collaboration.
