About Us
The purpose of the Jazz Ensemble is to provide students with an opportunity to learn to play jazz music in a big band setting. It facilitates creative collaboration, disciplined learning, and forging of relationships between musicians through the sponsoring of various concerts throughout the academic year and providing music for University of Pittsburgh and third-party events.
