About Us
The mission of Pitt’s Latinx Student Association is to: Motivate: Establish a sense of support and community to promote the advancement of Latinx students in their academic, social, professional and personal lives. Educate: Enrich student life at the University by providing educational programs including discussions, collaborations, events etc. that center on the diverse and diasporic nature of the Latinx perspective as well as the marginalization of these groups. Advocate: Act as the recognized entity for addressing the concerns, needs, interests, diversity, and inclusion of Latinx students. Communicate these concerns, needs, interests and importance of inclusion to the administration and University community. Promote unity and solidarity amongst the Latinx and international community. Celebrate: Create a positive and celebratory environment for the development and support of Latinx students at the University.
