About RPM

  • Who we are

RPM (Racing, Performance, and Maintenance) is a student automotive club at the University of Pittsburgh. We work on cars together, host workshops on practical skills, and give students who are into cars a place to connect on campus.

Racing is something we want to get into as well. We're open to attending motorsport events as a club, and once we find a track we can call home, we'd like to start doing track days together.

  • Our project car

Our main project this year is rebuilding and reassembling the engine in the club's Sprite.

There's a lot more to a project like this than turning wrenches. We need help with inspection and measurement, researching parts, documenting and photographing the build, and planning the work.

  • Who can join

Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Some of our members have rebuilt engines before, and some are just getting started. We're happy to teach.

If you're more interested in the planning side, there's plenty of room for that too, including organizing events, keeping records, photographing the build, and running our social media.
